Job Purpose

We are looking for Senior QA Analyst to join us at BossAlien, a division of NaturalMotion, in creating Star Wars™: Hunters, a competitive arena combat game for the Nintendo Switch system and mobile devices. Star Wars: Hunters will bring players together to engage in thrilling, team-based, multiplayer battles featuring a diverse array of distinctive new Star Wars characters. 

The role of the Senior QA Analyst is to drive and support overall game quality, coach and mentor junior testers, manage test planning, and provide support for subject specific Agile pods.

Key Roles & Responsibilities

  • Create test plans for complex features and cross-feature interactions
  • Craft non-functional test suites (performance, endurance, usability) as needed
  • Plan QA tasks such as bug sweeps, retests, and exploratory testing
  • Adjust manual testing to compliment automated test coverage
  • Analyse performance data to find and report issues
  • Critically analyse risks and testing needed to mitigate them
  • Keep up to date on advances in testing techniques and best practices
  • Understand user roles and perform user acceptance tests
  • Develop and maintain test strategies, test plans, regression plans, cross-feature plans, and test cases
  • Identify challenges related to mobile testing (hardware, networking, etc.)
  • Maintain and update feature artifacts, FAQs, and team wikis
  • Coach and mentor junior members of the QA team

Required Skills & Experience  

  • Experience in game testing on multiple platforms
  • ISTQB Certified or similar certification
  • Clear and concise communicator
  • Must work well with others
  • Understanding of test and reporting tools, such as JIRA, TestRail, GameBench etc.
  • Experience in Agile testing strategies and shift-left approaches
  • Build transparency and share knowledge between teams
  • Passion for high quality video games
