In celebration of Women’s History Month and International Women’s Day, we wanted to spotlight our incredible Women at Zynga (WAZ).
Women at Zynga (WAZ) is one of our Zynga Employee Resource Groups, which promotes and encourages diversity, inclusion and belonging. We strengthen connections and collaboration across NaturalMotion and Zynga through mentorship programs, professional development, leadership training, workshops, networking opportunities and social events. WAZ brings our female leaders together to share in conversations on topics, such as coaching, career aspirations, flexibility, and family life. As well as exchanging best practices regarding team building, mentoring, and ongoing learning opportunities.
During the month of March, we honour the contributions, achievements and resilience of women. From highlighting trailblazers who have shaped the gaming industry and paved the way for progress and gender equality, to spotlighting the incredible women on our team right here at Zynga who inspire us every day – there’s so much to celebrate and reflect upon.
Throughout March, Women at Zynga (WAZ) have organized opportunities to expand our network, develop our personal and professional growth. Including hosting a series of curated events, ranging from financial workshops, to pilates & meditation classes that rejuvenates our minds and bodies, to jewellery making and themed Happy Hours.
International Women’s Day is a global day celebrating the social, economic, cultural, and political achievements of women. The day also marks a call to action for accelerating women’s equality. We celebrate women’s achievement, raise awareness about discrimination and take action to drive gender parity. This year’s International Women’s Day campaign theme is Inspire Inclusion. When we inspire others to understand and value women’s inclusion, we forge a better world. And when women themselves are inspired to be included, there’s a sense of belonging, relevance, and empowerment.
